Kentucky WBB still a 6-seed in latest ESPN Bracketology (and the path is unforgiving)
In the last ESPN Bracketology, Kenny Brooks‘ team was ranked as a six-seed in the NCAA Tournament, and for the third release in a row, the Cats stayed as a six-seed in the projected field.
There are 10 total SEC teams that made the 68-team cut, and Auburn, who is 7-3 with losses to Oregon, Cal and Kansas, is among the “First Four Out”. As for Kentucky’s region, well, it isn’t very forgiving.
At the top as the one-seed are the UConn Huskies, who knocked Kentucky out in the Elite Eight in consecutive years in 2012 and 2013. Plus, UConn could very well be the best team in the country this season too.
Intra-conference foe Texas is the two-seed in the Birmingham region, and Ohio State is the three-seed. Prior to this season, a source told KSR that Kentucky scrimmaged the Buckeyes, and while there was no official score released, it sounded like the Buckeyes may have come out on top in said scrimmage.
