A talented surprise guest has been added to the official visitors’ list for this weekend.

Class of 2025 wide receiver Hardley Gilmore announced on social media Thursday afternoon that he will take an official visit to Kentucky this weekend (June 16-18). The Belle Glade (FL) Pahokee pass-catcher confirmed with KSR that he will also reclassify to 2024, which frees him up to begin taking official visits.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Gilmore is considered a four-star recruit and a unanimous top 150 prospect in the ’25 class. That ranking will likely drop slightly once he’s moved into the ’24 class, but there is plenty of talent within the 6-foot-1, 165-pound product out of the Sunshine State.

This will be Gilmore’s first official visit. He is being recruited by UK wide receivers coach Scott Woodward. Gilmore, who does not currently have any other OVs scheduled at this time, told KSR that Coach Woodward “made me feel like family.”

Kentucky offered Gilmore just a little over a month ago in mid-May. His offer sheet is loaded with some of the nation’s top programs, including Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M, Penn State, Michigan, and plenty more. Florida is the school to watch at this stage after Gilmore received an RPM pick in favor of him landing with the Gators just a few weeks ago.

Gilmore even told Gators Online that Florida was “No. 1” after taking an unofficial visit to Gainesville in May. Additionally, his parents are huge Florida fans. However, all of this was reported before the news of his Kentucky OV and reclassification surfaced. So why did Kentucky receive his first official visit?

“They gave the first opportunity! They have true freshman that got a chance to start,” Gilmore added.

During his sophomore season in 2022, when he played at IMG Academy, Gilmore recorded 43 receptions for over 1,000 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Kentucky is now expected to have nine official visitors on campus throughout this coming weekend.
