Kentucky owns a 117-43 overall series lead. The Cats will meet Alabama on the hardwood for the 161st time on Friday night at Bridgestone Arena. In the SEC Tournament, UK is 17-2 against the Tide. UK is 1-1 in ranked vs. ranked matchups versus Bama in the SEC Tournament.

These two programs have met seven times in Nashville at this event. Kentucky has never lost to Alabama in the Music City. This meeting will be only the third time we’ve seen a ranked vs. ranked matchup between these two programs in the SEC Tournament. Both of those meetings occurred in the championship.

Alabama is going for a third win over Kentucky but the Wildcats have owned the Tide in postseason meetings. Nate Oats‘ program will be looking for their first SEC Tournament victory over UK since 1983.
