Kentucky announces inaugural Hoops and Heels Women’s Event

As promised by Mark and Lee Anne Pope, the Women’s Clinic is back — rebranded to celebrate the start of a new era of Kentucky basketball in Lexington. The Popes have officially announced their inaugural Hoops and Heels Women’s Event, presented by Hourglass Aesthetics, which will take place on Nov. 1 inside Rupp Arena from 6-8 p.m. ET.

Registration is now open to women of any age, and the cost of the event will be $41 — Pope’s old number at Kentucky. The event is designed for women with all levels of basketball knowledge and experience and offers an exclusive inside look at the Cats going into the season.

Autographed basketballs will be available for purchase during the registration process, priced at $50 apiece.

“It’ll be the last inside look at the Cats. The way we’re going to do it is we’re going to roll in a dinner and the guys are going to practice a little bit later so you’ll be able to walk in on the last few minutes,” Mark Pope said at the 2024 Wildcat Tipoff Luncheon in Louisville this week. “It’s going to be really great. You don’t just get to meet the guys, you get to meet the guys sweaty. That’s even better.”

Registration will take place from 5-6 p.m. with participants entering the Rupp Arena loading dock off Manchester Street for check-in. There, participants will be able to watch the team practice and additional notes and details about the event will be provided in your confirmation email upon registration. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable attire (athletic shoes) and participate in activities and presentations at their own risk.

Once you have completed the registration process, you will receive a confirmation email with an itinerary. You will receive reminder emails with additional details of the event.
