After a solid win over Vanderbilt and a loss at Alabama, Kentucky didn’t move too much in the polls. In fact, the Cats didn’t move at all in the AP Poll, staying put at No. 17. They’re down two spots to No. 23 in the Coaches Poll.

Auburn, Saturday’s opponent at Rupp Arena, remains the No. 1 team in the land in both polls, one of four SEC teams in the top ten, eight overall. Duke took Florida’s spot at No. 2, bumping the Gators to No. 3. Tennessee is up to No. 5, while Alabama fell a few spots to No. 6. Texas A&M fell out of the top ten after losses to Mississippi State and Tennessee. Missouri is No. 14 and Mississippi State is No. 24. Ole Miss dropped out.

Outside of the SEC, Rick Pitino’s St. John’s squad is up to No. 7 after beating UConn yesterday. They’re just ahead of Michigan State, which jumped six spots to No. 8. Louisville is up six spots to No. 19. Kansas dropped out after losses to Utah and BYU, ending the Jayhawks’ run of 80 straight weeks in the AP Top 25.

Some college basketball writers/personalities dropped the Cats for their performances last week, while others bumped them up a spot. Further proof that it’s hard to judge this team right now because of the injuries.
