As expected, Kentucky fell in both polls following the loss to Arkansas, but not too far. Kentucky is No. 14 in the new AP and Coaches Poll. Last week, the Cats were No. 12 in both.

Auburn remains No. 1 in both polls, followed by Duke. From there, the AP poll is all shook up after eleven Top 25 teams lost last week. Nine SEC teams are ranked, with Vanderbilt dropping out of the Top 25 after a 30-point loss at Oklahoma. Tennessee’s 20-point win at Florida made up for the loss to Kentucky on Tuesday; the Vols are up to No. 4, just behind Alabama, which climbed to No. 3. Florida is down one spot to No. 6. Ole Miss, Kentucky’s opponent tomorrow night, is down two spots to No. 25 after losing to Auburn at home.

Louisville also dropped out of the Top 25 following its loss at Georgia Tech. You hate to see it.

Kentucky in other National Rankings

Some media members dropped Kentucky out of the top 15 of their rankings, while others were more forgiving. Gary Parrish still has the Cats in his top ten.
