Kentucky is looking to start new winning streak against Arkansas
Arkansas joined the SEC during the expansion in the 1990s that also brought South Carolina to the conference. The former Southwest Conference member has had more head-to-head success against Kentucky on the hardwood than most of its peers in the SEC. Even John Calipari has struggled to consistently beat the Razorbacks who have been led by multiple head coaches since 2009-10.
Since this university joined the conference, Kentucky leads the series 30-14 but Calipari’s record is only 11-7 against the Hogs. Arkansas has beaten Kentucky a trio of times in Rupp Arena. That is quite the feat. Since Eric Musselman arrived, the Razorbacks are 4-3 against Kentucky.

However, we’ve seen Kentucky turn a losing streak in this series into a big winning streak quickly.
From 2013-14, Kentucky lost three in a row to Arkansas with two of those defeats occurring at Bud Walton Arena. In 2015, that streak turned into Kentucky winning eight in a row in the series from 2015-19 with a pair of wins in the SEC title game. The Wildcats snapped a three-game losing streak last year in Fayetteville when Antonio Reeves went nuclear.
Can Kentucky start another long winning streak against Arkansas? Recent history tells us yes.
