We are one day away from postseason baseball at Kentucky Proud Park. The Lexington Regional will open with the Bat Cats facing off against Western Michigan. The first pitch is set for noon ET on Friday and will be broadcast on the SEC Network. All-session tickets for this weekend’s tournament are still available on the berm and in the outfield bleachers at UKAthletics.com.

Kentucky has never won a regional in consecutive seasons. The Wildcats have also never made the trip to Omaha for the College World Series. Never say never, right?

Nick Mingione’s program secured the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, a new school record. Even though Kentucky is the No. 2 seed, they are not the second choice in Las Vegas to win the College World Series.

You can find odds on DraftKings for Kentucky to bring home a National Title at +1000, tying with Arkansas for the fourth-best odds. Texas A&M is the top choice, followed by Tennessee and LSU. Yes, it’s an SEC party at the top of college baseball because It Just Means More™. Oregon State, Kentucky’s potential Super Regional foe, is only three spots behind the Bat Cats.

The opening line has not yet arrived for the first game of the Lexington Regional, but Kentucky is a heavy moneyline favorite at -720.
