Kentucky Baseball Home Opener Postponed by Weather

The first pitch at Kentucky Proud Park of the 2022 Kentucky baseball season will not be thrown Tuesday afternoon. A live look at tomorrow’s forecast:
Kentucky was scheduled to host Bellarmine for a 4 pm ET midweek game. Instead, the Knights will come to Lexington Wednesday for a 3 pm ET game against the Wildcats.

Fans with tickets for tomorrow’s game will still be valid on Wednesday. Single-game berm and terrace tickets will remain $2 as part of UK’s “2/22/22” promotion. The Kentucky Proud Park gates will open at 2 p.m. ET.
Nick Mingione opened his sixth season as Kentucky’s head baseball coach with a sweep. After defeating Jacksonville State 10-8 Friday night, Kentucky out-scored the Gamecocks 21-3 through the weekend. If you can’t catch the Bat Cats on Wednesday, this weekend they will host Western Michigan for a three-game series at KPP, beginning Friday at 4 pm ET.
