Kentucky baseball is a 2.5-run underdog against LSU today
I imagine betting on college baseball is a tough way to earn a living. It isn’t quite as degenerate as preseason NFL football, but it is in the ballpark. I’m sure there are some avid followers who do well, perhaps even Kentucky fans. And there are those who bet based on inside info provided by coaches and don’t get caught. However, in general, there are probably more surefire bets to place out there in the sports gambling world over the unpredictable nature of college baseball.
Having said that, I was dying to see the odds for today’s matchup between the Bat ‘Cats and Tigers. Maybe it is because it is a major horse racing day as well.
Odds may vary slightly depending on which sportsbook you reference, but over at Fanduel, Kentucky is a 2.5-run underdog to LSU in this afternoon’s game. If you were to bet them to win outright, you’d be getting +210 odds, while a money line bet for LSU would pay -280.
The over-under sits at 11.5 runs and bettors thus far have slightly favored the under in this bet. That could be because LSU is likely to start their ace pitcher, Paul Skenes, who recently threw a baseball 101 miles per hour on his 124th pitch in the game.

Kentucky’s offense can put up some crooked numbers on the scoreboard, though. They scored 26 runs between their two games on Saturday alone and scored five runs on seven hits against Skenes back in April.
While I’ve already given my series prediction, in this game, give me the over and Kentucky +2.5.
Gamble responsibly, kids.
