Kentucky Basketball releases 2021-22 non-conference schedule
The 2021-22 Kentucky Basketball non-conference schedule is finally complete. UK just released the slate of 13 non-conference games and two exhibitions.
After going without exhibitions last season due to the pandemic, the Wildcats will get two warm-up games. On October 29, they’ll host Kentucky Wesleyan at Rupp and a week later, Miles College.
The season will start for real vs. Duke under the bright lights at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, November 9. Other marquee games include road trips to Notre Dame (Dec. 11) and Kansas (Jan. 31), the CBS Sports Classic showdown vs. Ohio State (Dec. 18), and the rivalry game vs. Louisville (Dec. 22). Curiously missing is the game vs. Michigan, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 4 in Ann Arbor.
“Due to scheduling challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the previously scheduled Kentucky men’s basketball game at Michigan will not take place this season,” UK said in a statement. “We are in conversations with Michigan to preserve the series at a future date.”
