Kentucky Basketball's 2023-24 SEC Home and Away Opponents Revealed
Dominos are starting to drop for Kentucky’s 2023-24 schedule. Today, the Southeastern Conference released the home-and-away designations for the upcoming season.
Kentucky will play 18 league games, nine at home and nine on the road. In addition to the Cats’ permanent home-and-away opponents Florida, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt, Kentucky will play Arkansas and Mississippi State twice. The Cats’ home-only opponents are Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Missouri, while the road-only foes are Auburn, LSU, South Carolina, and Texas A&M. Dates, times, and TV designations will be announced at a later time.
2023-24 SEC Home Games | 2023-24 SEC Away Games |
Arkansas | Arkansas |
Florida | Florida |
Mississippi State | Mississippi State |
Tennessee | Tennessee |
Vanderbilt | Vanderbilt |
Alabama | Auburn |
Georgia | LSU |
Ole Miss | South Carolina |
Missouri | Texas A&M |
It is not a surprise that Kentucky once again drew Arkansas twice. The Razorbacks are a top-15 team in the preseason rankings and return Trevon Brazile and Devonte Davis. Kentucky split the series with Arkansas last year, the Cats winning 88-79 in Fayetteville thanks to 37 points from Antonio Reeves. Thank goodness he’s returning for another year.
The Cats won’t have to go to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama, but a road trip to Texas A&M could be tricky. Buzz Williams and the Aggies return Wade Taylor IV and Tyrece Radford and bring in transfers Jace Carter (UIC) and Eli Lawrence (MTSU). Auburn may be down compared to recent years but a road game in Auburn Arena is always tough.
