Kentucky Basketball stays at No. 4 in latest AP Poll
The second AP Poll of the 2022-23 College Basketball season is out and your University of Kentucky Wildcats remain a top-five team. Kentucky stayed at No. 4 in this week’s rankings, receiving three first-place votes; in fact, the top five is the same as it was in the preseason poll that came out last month: 1) North Carolina, 2) Gonzaga, 3) Houston, 4) Kentucky, and 5) Baylor.
The No. 4 Cats play No. 2 Gonzaga Sunday in Spokane. Michigan State, Kentucky’s opponent tomorrow in the Champions Classic, is the first team out of the Top 25, receiving 119 votes. The Spartans lost to the Bulldogs by one on Friday night. Five SEC teams are ranked: 4) Kentucky, 9) Arkansas, 13) Auburn, 18) Alabama, and 22) Tennessee. The Vols dropped 11 spots following yesterday’s 12-point loss to unranked Colorado.
