Kentucky moves up in Bracketology, NET Rankings
With the win over LSU, Kentucky’s NCAA Tournament resume is looking slightly better. This morning, the Cats are up to No. 34 in the NET Rankings, a four-spot rise from where they were prior to Tuesday’s game vs. the Tigers. Joe Lunardi also moved Kentucky up a seed line in his latest Bracketology. The Cats are now a No. 7-seed in the West Region in Lunardi’s projections. Getting a spot in the South Region, aka Louisville, is still the goal, but a Sweet 16 and Elite Eight in Vegas would be pretty awesome.
Obviously, Kentucky has a huge chance to improve its resume tomorrow at Alabama. The game vs. the Crimson Tide is in Quad 1. The Cats are 0-3 in Quad 1 so far, so a victory would be big, to say the least. Elsewhere on the team sheet, Kentucky’s win over LSU is now in Quad 3, as the Tigers dropped out of the top 75 in the NET.
