The Waterboys are back! Kentucky Managers Drop New NIL Music Video Featuring Trent Noah, Travis Perry

Last year, Kentucky Basketball’s managers made a name for themselves as “The Waterboys,” debuting a music video ahead of the 2024 NCAA Tournament through an NIL partnership with Geddes Pools, a pool contractor in Nicholasville, Ky. This year, they’re back, and in my opinion, better than ever.
The UK Dance Team joins the fun for this year’s hit, “Ladies Love The Waterboys.” Kentucky freshmen Travis Perry and Trent Noah also make cameos, following in Reed Sheppard’s footsteps from last season. According to the group’s manager DJ Geddes, Perry and Noah even gave their NIL portion from the deal back to the team managers, which is very cool.
Watch below as the group channels boy bands of the past singing about their success following last year’s video, particularly with the ladies. It’s all great fun, as NIL in its best form should be. Here are a few of my favorite verses:

Ladies love The Waterboys, yeah, we got drip!
Got with Geddes Pools now we making them hits!
They don’t want a player, they want somethin’ more–
A man with a mop and a bottle to pour!
They see us courtside, know we roll with the Pope,
And the end of the bench, yo the party is dope.
While the Cats get buckets, we get digits,
Signed a deal with Geddes, now our pool game is vicious!
Locker room passes, VIP,
She was in the stands, now she’s sittin’ with me!
Travis Perry be tryin’, but he just don’t see,
Ladies love a man with a hydration degree.
The video also serves as a reminder that the annual Manager Games are almost here. Last year, Kentucky’s managers made it all the way to the national semifinals. Here’s to an even better run this year — for the managers and the actual Kentucky Basketball team.
