John Calipari has confirmed former Kentucky star Tyler Ulis is back in Lexington – he posted a picture with the standout guard on social media – but did you know he’ll be working out with the team over the course of the next two months?

In an interview with KSR on Monday, future Kentucky guard Skyy Clark said he caught up with Ulis during his official visit to UK this past weekend, with Calipari telling him the former First Team All-American will be on campus for two months as he gets back in game shape and recovers from a recent injury.

“I also met Tyler (Ulis) when I toured the Joe Craft Center, he was in the weight room and I got to talk to him for a little bit. It was really good,” Clark told KSR. “Coach Cal said he was going to be back on campus working out for two months, so that was good to see they let their players come back. In the locker room, they have one locker open for any alumni that they can use, so that was really dope to see.”

Clark added that Ulis gave him advice on how to handle his time at Kentucky, telling the five-star guard he’ll get back whatever he puts in under Coach Cal.

Tyler, I just asked him what his biggest challenge was at Kentucky and he said he didn’t really have any challenges because he was confident in his game. He said, “If you come in here, lock in for six months and listen to Coach Cal and the rest of the coaching staff, you’ll get whatever you want out of it. What you put in is what you get.”’

Calipari posted a picture with Ulis on social media earlier today, adding that the former Wildcat star was in attendance for Kentucky’s first official practice of the offseason. When Ulis gets back to full strength, the UK head coach promised to be front and center for his first game back.

“Just got off the floor from our first on-court work of the season and the first person I see is Tyler Ulis,” Calipari said. “Tyler is back in town and rehabbing. I can’t wait to see him back out there doing what he loves. I promised him I would be front row, feet on the wood when he starts playing again. It won’t be long!”

Arguably the best point guard of the Calipari era working with the likes of Sahvir Wheeler and TyTy Washington for an entire summer? Can’t ask for much better than that.
