Highlights from a Surprisingly Intense Kentucky Win over Georgia State
Most of Big Blue Nation was still shaking off the post-Thanksgiving food coma. Getting fired up to watch Kentucky play Georgia State wasn’t on the agenda. The Cats were 30-point favorites. It should be an easy walk in the park, right? Wrong.
The Cats were cold from three while one of the best three-point defenses in America let the Panthers light it up from downtown. Things were tight well into the second half. They got contentious following a hard foul on Amari Williams. Technicals were doled out and it brought out the energy in Rupp Arena.
After players were separated from the scuffle, Williams threw a sick pass from behind his head to Ansley Almonor for an easy layup. Koby Brea missed another three, but got a second chance and took it to the rack for a thunderous left-handed dunk. That wasn’t nearly as cool as what Otega Oweh did in transition.

How did Oweh do that? The Otega-Tron truly is a machine.
It was an unexpected fight for the Kentucky Wildcats, and yet somehow that made it even more enjoyable to watch in the second half. Enjoy it some more by watching the best plays again, and again,, and again.
