Kentucky vs. Tennessee: Sweet 16 Tip-Off Times Revealed

Kentucky is dancing in the NCAA Tournament for another week. We know where and who the Wildcats will be playing in the Sweet 16, but we had to wait a little longer to find out when.

Kentucky went to Milwaukee and left with a pair of wins over Troy and Illinois, outlasting the Fighting Illini 84-75 to earn a trip to the Sweet 16, the program’s first since 2019. Big Blue Nation will travel to a place that has featured great memories, but recent years have clouded those wonderful moments with heartbreak.

Indianapolis is the host site of the Midwest Regional. Rather than Banker’s Life Fieldhouse, the site where the Wildcats were upset by Saint Peter’s, Kentucky will return to the place where Aaron Harrison shot the Cats into the 2014 Final Four, Lucas Oil Stadium. During that run to the Final Four, Kentucky had to beat a rival in the Sweet 16. History is repeating itself as we prepare for the Tennessee Volunteers.

The Cats won the first two meetings over the Vols. Kentucky vs. Tennessee Part III will be on Friday, March 28 at 7:39 p.m. EST on TBS and truTV. Andrew Catalon, Steve Lappas, and Evan Washburn will be on the call for what could be an unforgettable NCAA Tournament matchup between two bitter SEC rivals at Lucas Oil Stadium.
