The Governor’s Cup looked a little bit different on Saturday, but the end result was nothing new to the Big Blue Nation.

During the 2023 DI-AA Rugby National Championship in Houston, the Kentucky Wildcats took down the Louisville Cardinals 43-26. Kentucky came into the title bout ranked No. 1 in the DI-AA national polls and bested a No. 11-ranked Louisville team that was looking to avenge last season’s championship loss to Virginia Tech.

Kentucky was able to beat No. 10 NC State in the quarterfinals and No. 4 Boston College in the semifinals in order to make the title game. UK led Louisville 26-0 at halftime and was up 43-14 late in the second half before finishing off the Cardinals for good.

No matter the sport, little brother just can’t keep up.
