Kentucky volleyball's Brooklyn DeLeye makes USA volleyball team

Brooklyn DeLeye, a sophomore outside hitter for the ‘Cats, has been named to the 2024 United States Volleyball U-21 National Team.

The sophomore will compete with the rest of the team at the 2024 NORCECA Women’s U-21 Continental Championship in Toronto, Canada. Beginning June 25, the United States will play three matches before the quarterfinals, semifinals, and placement matches begin on June 30.

DeLeye was named the 2023 Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year and the AVCA Region Freshman of the Year. In her first year at Kentucky, she was one of the most productive offensive players for the ‘Cats, averaging 3.92 points per set, 3.69 kills per set, and a .287 hitting percentage on the season.

  • June 26 – USA vs. Suriname, 11 A.M. EST
  • June 27 – USA vs. Puerto Rico, 1:30 P.M. EST
  • June 28 – Quarterfinals
  • June 29 – Semifinals
  • June 30 – Placement Matches
