Rupp Arena was a lot of fun until the final score on Saturday. The Big Blue Nation answered the early bell for the noon game by bringing the best home court in college basketball to downtown Lexington. Unfortunately, the Blue-Whites and the Go-Big-Blues weren’t enough to will the Wildcats to victory. Still, the fan base made a special atmosphere for the top-10 matchup. The home crowd deserved a celebration in the end for their effort, especially with the old denim back in town.

Kentucky games have seen several celebrities throughout the first year of the Mark Pope era. Against Alabama, the Rupp Arena crowd was excited to welcome Josh Harrellson back home around BBN. “Jorts” was the celebratory Y in the second half of the game.

After the game, Harrellson made a surprise appearance on KSR’s Rapid Reaction outside Rupp Arena.

Christian and Scooby

Also in attendance on Saturday was one of BBN’s favorite halftime acts, the talented Christian and Scooby. With all due respect to Christian, who is very talented, it is Scooby who Kentucky fans enjoy seeing once a year in Rupp.
