Kentucky bumped to No. 24 in College Football Playoff rankings
Despite not making the AP or Coaches Polls this week, Kentucky football did crack the Week 11 College Football Playoff rankings.
On ESPN’s reveal show Tuesday night, the Wildcats (6-3; 3-3) were slotted at No. 24 in the second CFP rankings of the season after taking down Missouri on the road over the weekend 21-17. Kentucky was not among the Top 25 teams when the rankings debuted last Tuesday. The ‘Cats will take on Vanderbilt this Saturday in Lexington at noon EST on the SEC Network.
The CFP determines which four schools will play in the four-team playoff to compete for a national title, along with those competing for New Year’s Six bowls. Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, and TCU are the Week 11 top four following a major shift in the rankings.
