It’s a big weekend for Kentucky Sports. The men’s and women’s basketball teams will both be in action, the football team will host Vanderbilt, and the men’s soccer team will play in the Sun Belt Conference Championship. UK Athletics will also induct a new class into its Hall of Fame. Jim Andrews (men’s basketball), Derek Bryant (baseball), Dezerea Bryant (women’s track and field), Keenan Burton (football), Mike Lyden (swimming and diving), and Kelsey Nunley-Moore (softball) will be celebrated at several events throughout the weekend.

The fun starts tonight with a reception and induction dinner/ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Lexington. The new members of the Hall of Fame will be recognized at halftime of tomorrow night’s men’s basketball game vs. Duquesne and halftime of Saturday’s football game vs. Vanderbilt. Dezerea Bryant-Moore is in training and can’t attend, so she will be represented by her husband Jaylen Moore, while Mike Lyden will be represented by widow Emily Lyden and daughter Jessica.

Saturday is Salute to Veterans Day at Kroger Field

With Friday being Veterans Day, Kentucky is offering specially priced tickets to current and former military members through a partnership with GovX. Fans can also put their veteran’s photo on the video board with a message by using the hashtag #UKSalutes on social media platforms.

Saturday is also Boy Scouts Day and Youth Sports and Activities Day. Scouts and youth teams from across the state are eligible for specially-priced tickets.  For more information, contact Caleb Young at [email protected] or call 859-218-4978.
