Kentucky checking in with 2024 four-star Zoom Diallo
Kentucky is set to check out 2024 four-star Zoom Diallo on Thursday, he told Jacob Polacheck of KSR+.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound combo guard out of Curtis Senior in Tacoma, WA currently has a top six of Arizona, Gonzaga, Washington, USC, Florida State and Kansas. Now, though, the UK coaching staff is throwing its hat in the ring, making the trip out West this evening to see the nation’s No. 18 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking.
ESPN’s Paul Biancardi was the first to report the news of Kentucky’s interest.
Arizona and Gonzaga had been seen as the top contenders to land his commitment, taking officials to the latter in January and the former back in September. Florida State also earned an official back in October, and he’s also planning a trip to USC in the near future.
Could UK receive one, as well? Things are trending in the right direction, with assistant coach Chin Coleman taking the lead in his recruitment, with John Calipari also helping out. Diallo sees a potential fit for both sides, comparing his game to former Wildcat Tyrese Maxey.
“I think I’d fit pretty well in their system with just the fact that they have a lot of athletic guys who can go up and down and play really aggressively,” Diallo told KSR+. “… They’re known for producing a lot of pros that played in the NBA or are currently in the NBA. Coach Cal is a winning coach, a great coach. I’ve been watching Kentucky for a long time, just seeing that he puts faith in his freshmen coming in. Just watching him put his belief in the freshmen really means a lot.”

Diallo is in no rush to make a decision, committing whenever he feels the time is right — that bodes well for Kentucky. What will he be prioritizing when that time comes?
Role and being in a comfortable environment that pushes him to be the best version of himself.
“A place where I’m not only there for basketball, but where they care for me,” he said. “Playing in a play style that I’m very comfortable in.”
What separates his game from the rest of his peers in the junior class? How will he be navigating the home stretch of his recruiting process? What will his future school be getting in Diallo as a player?
