Kentucky Cheerleading finishes 3rd at UCA Finals
The University of Kentucky Cheerleading program will not bring home a national championship from Florida this year but the Cats did fight their way onto the podium. Kentucky Cheer finished third in the Division IA Coed competition at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) finals on Sunday night. The Cats were sixth entering the final round but moved up to third after a strong performance. Central Florida finished first, with Alabama coming in second.
“I’m proud of the fight our team showed today,” Kentucky head coach Ryan O’Connor said in a press release. “They didn’t give up on anything and they showed a lot of heart. This team truly loves Kentucky and I’m proud of that. We still have to keep chasing perfection.”
