Kentucky commit Chris Livingston has arrived in Lexington for official visit
We’ve talked endlessly about how important football recruiting is going to be for Kentucky this weekend, but these next few days could be equally important for the basketball program.
Five-star class of 2022 recruits Chris Livingston and Adem Bona are expected to take official visits to Kentucky’s campus this weekend. Livingston, who committed to the ‘Cats a couple of weeks ago, posted to his Instagram Story on Thursday night that he has arrived in Lexington, or his “second home”.
Livingston is a 6-foot-6 wing player who will suit up for the famous Oak Hill Academy this season. He’s ranked by On3 as the fourth-best player from the class of 2022 and could fill in as the fourth “guard” in what John Calipari wants to run on offense moving forward.
As for Bona, who is currently uncommitted and the last target remaining on Kentucky’s Big Board, he is scheduled to arrive in Lexington on Friday. But UK head coach John Calipari made sure to check in on the 6-foot-9 big man at the beginning of the week, sneaking in an in-person visit all the way out in California.

Bona isn’t as highly regarded as Livingston, but he might be even more important for next season’s roster. He is the last five-star big man that UK is targeting from the class of 2022.
Having Livingston on campus to stay in Bona’s ear throughout the visit can only be a positive for Kentucky. KSR’s Jack Pilgrim recently reported that the ‘Cats still have ground to make up on Bona after missing out on Dereck Lively II, but he appears to be Kentucky’s to lose at this point.
How his official visit goes could very well swing Bona’s decision one way or the other.
