In two weeks Kentucky will sign approximately 20 football players. That’s nuts. Before the earliest Early Signing Period in the history of college football kicks off on Dec. 4, On3 has updated its recruiting rankings.

The 2025 Kentucky football recruiting class currently has 20 verbal commits and is ranked No. 23 in the country and 12th in the SEC. In the latest update, there are five four-star talents committed, including the highest-ranked running back in school history.

Recruiting Ranking Risers

Marquise Davis
4-Star, No. 148, No. 7 RB

Mikkel Skinner
4-Star, No. 244, No. 14 TE

Darrin Strey
4-Star, No. 26 OT

Marquise Davis was already turning heads before his senior season. Gaudy stats verified that he is one of the most talented running backs in the country. Darrin Strey was a fringe four-star talent who was officially put over the top ahead of Signing Day. Mikkel Skinner has put up some numbers as well while doing a little bit of everything for Riverside Greer (SC). Kentucky’s most recent commit had 127 rushing yards and four touchdowns on only 10 carries, 37 receiving yards, three tackles, and a sack in a playoff win.

There are two other former(?) Kentucky targets who received rankings bumps. Chaz Coleman recently picked Penn State over Kentucky and the EDGE was upgraded to the No. 191 overall player in the country. Louisville Male IOL Isaac “Spike” Sowells picked NC State over Kentucky during the summer. Now he’s a four-star talent in the On300, considered the No. 21 player at his position. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kentucky kicks the tires on Sowells down the stretch, even if it doesn’t amount to a flip.

On3 Stock Drops

Like every other recruiting service, On3 fell in love with Javeon Campbell‘s measureables during the offseason. The other three services still have Campbell in their Top 300. Cedric Works is on the outside of the On300 looking in after spending his senior season in Lexington at Frederick Douglass. The folks in the scouting department aren’t very high on Martels Carter either. All three instate stars are still four-star, top 300 talents according to the consensus, but have fallen out of the On300 Rankings.
