Kentucky cracks Top 5 list for 3-star '25 OT Eidan Buchanan
On Wednesday morning, Kentucky picked up its first class of 2025 commit on the offensive line in Tucker Kattus. Could another big man up front be on the way?
Eidan Buchanan, a three-star offensive tackle out of Olney (MD) Good Counsel, announced on Tuesday afternoon that he’s down to just five college options: Kentucky, Wisconsin, Rutgers, West Virginia, and Maryland. Clocking in at 6-foot-8, 335 pounds, Buchanan is considered a three-star recruit and the No. 867 overall high school junior in the country, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
Kentucky’s new offensive line coach Eric Wolford officially extended Buchanan a scholarship earlier this month, although he has yet to make a trip to Lexington.
Buchanan holds additional offers from the likes of Boston College, Miami (FL), East Carolina, and Syracuse, among others. Ohio State has also shown interest. But the aforementioned five schools currently stand above the rest.

So far this year, Buchanan has taken unofficial visits to West Virginia, Rutgers, Maryland, and Virginia Tech. He has official visits locked in with Rutgers (May 31-June 2), West Virginia (June 7-9), and Maryland (June 14-16). A potential official visit to Kentucky has not been made public, but a trip to Lexington could be on the way.
“Nothing is in writing yet,” Buchanan told Jacob Polacheck of KSR+ earlier this month regarding an official visit to UK. “I’m definitely thinking about it, but I’ve got to take a little bit of time to think about it.”
If Kentucky can get Buchanan on campus for an official visit sometime this summer, the Wildcats will have a shot at landing another commitment for the Big Blue Wall.
