Kentucky volleyball completed another sweep Friday night, defeating Ole Miss 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-19) in Oxford, Mississippi, and improving to 3-0 in SEC play.

The Wildcats never trailed, controlling the lead across all three sets in a showcase of offensive firepower, hitting .393 as a team. Eva Hudson and Brooklyn DeLeye helped lead the Cats to victory, both tallying double-figure kills. Molly Tuozzo anchored the defense with 14 digs as UK held the Rebels to a .220 hitting percentage.

Kentucky opened the first set with strong kills to set the tone early in Oxford, racing out to an early 11-5 lead behind assists from Kassie O’Brien, whose offense forced an Ole Miss timeout. Hudson’s powerful arm, coupled with timely blocks, led the Wildcats to an easy 25-18 set one victory.

The second set began the same, Kentucky taking an early 6-2 lead over the Rebels. Hudson and DeLeye showcased their dominance, helping push the lead to 11-5 and forcing another Ole Miss timeout. While the Rebels threatened with a 3-0 run, Brooke Bultema delivered a monster kill, shifting momentum back in the Cats’ favor to take the set 25-21.

The Wildcats carried their energy into the third set and never let up. DeLeye connected with Hudson on several finishes at the net, pushing the Cats to a 14-7 lead. Carr added a powerful slide attack kill, forcing Ole Miss to call their final timeout. The Rebels cut the lead to five, but Kentucky’s depth and talent secured a 25-19 victory, clinching the set and the match.

Kentucky kept the Rebels from mounting a serious comeback, maintaining control in every set and showcasing its elite level of play. The sweep marks another statement win in SEC play for the Cats, powered by a balanced offensive attack and strong net defense.

Following three consecutive sweeps, Kentucky looks ahead to Wednesday’s road showdown against No. 9 Texas A&M at 7:00 p.m. ET (SEC Network). All eyes will be on the Wildcats as they aim to prove themselves against another top-10 opponent in hostile territory.
