Kentucky opened as a 20.5-point favorite and closed out the first half up by 17 after leading by as many as 21. Is that good? It sounds good.

The Wildcats are rolling inside Rupp Arena, going into the break up 43-26 on Lipscomb while shooting 50 percent from the field and 61.5 percent from three on 8-13 attempts from deep. It’s been yet another well-rounded effort, as well, with seven different players scoring and six knocking down threes.

Jaxson Robinson leads all scorers with 13 on 3-6 shooting and 2-4 from three with four rebounds, followed by Lamont Butler with nine points, Otega Oweh with seven, Brandon Garrison with four and Koby Brea, Ansley Almonor and Kerr Kriisa all with three apiece.

On the other side, Lipscomb is shooting an abysmal 26.5 percent from the field and 10.5 percent from three — including a 0-13 start on attempts from deep. Jacob Ognacevic unsurprisingly leads the Bisons with eight points and five rebounds while Gyasi Powell has seven, Charlie Williams has five and Will Pruitt has four.

Just four assists and six turnovers in the first half for the Cats — not good — but just about everything else has worked in their favor through 20 minutes of action. How about another 20 to close things out?
