Following its 4-3 walk-off win over Miami (OH) Tuesday night, Kentucky is currently projected as a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament by both Baseball America and D1Baseball.

Baseball America has the ‘Cats in the Clemson Regional, alongside No. 1 seed Clemson, No. 2 seed Kansas and No. 4 seed Florida A&M. D1Baseball has them in the Clemson Regional as well, with the Tigers, No. 2 seeded West Virginia and No. 4 seed Central Connecticut State.

If selected for the 2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament, it would mark Kentucky’s third consecutive appearance for the first time ever. As it stands now however, it would be the first road Regional appearance for the ‘Cats since 2014 (Louisville Regional) and their first No. 3 seed since 2008 (Ann Arbor Regional).

Through 34 games, Kentucky sits at 20-14 (6-9) and No. 39 in College Baseball’s RPI Rankings. To hit the 15 SEC win mark (which practically makes you an NCAA Tournament lock), Kentucky would have to go *at least* 9-6 in its final 15 SEC games.

April 18-20: @ No. 4 Tennessee (32-5, 11-4)
April 25-27: South Carolina (21-17, 2-13)
May 2-4: @ Mississippi State (23-14, 5-10)
May 9-11: No. 18 Oklahoma (26-10, 7-8)
May 15-17: @ No. 19 Vanderbilt (27-10, 8-7)

There is a path to make the Tournament with 13 wins however, as Alabama (13-17), Florida (13-17), LSU (13-17), South Carolina (13-17) and Vanderbilt (13-17) all made last season’s Big Dance with 13 wins. In order to hit that mark, the ‘Cats would have to go *at least* 7-8 over its final 15 SEC games.

The Wildcats have a major chance to earn some big victories this weekend on the road at No. 4 Tennessee. A win over the Volunteers would mark Kentucky’s fifth top-15 victory of the season, as its taken a game each from No. 1 Texas, No. 5 Georgia (road), No. 8 Auburn and No. 11 Ole Miss.
