Kentucky drops one spot to No. 11 in Coaches Poll

The Kentucky Wildcats have not played since December 21, but they still managed to drop a spot in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll — and they were replaced in the top 10 by a fellow SEC foe.

Sitting at No. 10 last week, Mark Pope and the Cats fell to No. 11 overall in the Dec. 30 update.

As things stand today, the entire top nine remains the same from last week. Tennessee continues to hold firm at No. 1, followed by Auburn at No. 2, Iowa State at No. 3, Duke at No. 4, Florida at No. 5, Alabama at No. 6, Kansas at No. 7, Marquette at No. 8, Oregon at No. 9, and now, Oklahoma at No. 10.

From there, Kentucky (No. 11), Texas A&M (No. 12), Mississippi State (No. 16) and Ole Miss (No. 23) round out SEC teams in the top 25 while Arkansas, Georgia and Missouri continue to receive votes.
