Kentucky will face Duke in the 2024 Champions Classic in Atlanta

The 2023 Champions Classic tips off tonight, and to celebrate, ESPN just announced the date, site, and matchups for next year’s event.

Kentucky will face Duke and Kansas will play Michigan State in the 2024 Champions Classic, which will take place Tuesday, Nov. 12 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. It will be the second year in a row Kentucky plays in the venue. The Cats face North Carolina this season in the CBS Sports Classic at State Farm Arena on Dec. 16.

Next year will be the second time the Champions Classic has been held in Atlanta, the first being in 2012 at the Georgia Dome. Duke beat Kentucky 75-68 that year, the first of four matchups between the two programs in the event thus far. The Blue Devils hold a 3-1 edge over the Cats in the Champions Classic, Kentucky’s most recent loss coming in New York two seasons ago.

Tickets for the 2024 Champions Classic go on sale in the fall but fans can sign up for first access through the event pre-sale. ESPN Events also announced the matchups for the 2025 Champions Classic. Kentucky will play Michigan State, while Kansas will play Duke. The site and date are still to be determined.
