Mark Pope and his first Kentucky team won’t have to wait long for their first big challenge of the season. On November 12, the Cats face Duke in the Champions Classic in Atlanta. The presale began this morning, and thanks to the event organizers, we’ve got the code.

Use promo code CHAMPS to unlock the ESPN presale on Ticketmaster. Right now, there are still some tickets available in the lower bowl at State Farm Arena and plenty of seats in the upper bowl. Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. ET.

Kentucky and Duke square off in the second half of the doubleheader, which begins with Kansas vs. Michigan State at 6:30 p.m. Tipoff of the Cats vs. the Blue Devils is set for approximately 9:00 p.m., but we all know how that goes.

Kentucky’s recent history in the Champions Classic is not great. The Cats are 5-8 overall in the event but haven’t won a game in it since 2018. They’ve also lost two straight and three out of four Champions Classic games to Duke. This year, the Blue Devils’ roster features Cooper Flagg, one of the most highly-touted recruits in recent memory. Stealing the spotlight from Flagg and the Blue Devils sounds like the perfect way to tip off the Mark Pope era at Kentucky.

Promo code CHAMPS will ensure you’re there to see it happen.

Tip time set for Kentucky vs. Clemson; SEC midweek game dates finalized

The late tipoff for the Champions Classic will be good practice for an even later start a few weeks later. Tip times were set for the SEC/ACC Challenge on Monday. Kentucky vs. Clemson will tip off at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, the final game of the day on ESPN.

The SEC also finalized the league schedule with midweek designations late last week, making planning a little easier for us all. All six of Kentucky’s flexed games are now fixed. Texas A&M will travel to Rupp Arena on Tuesday, Jan. 14. On Tuesday, Feb. 4, the Cats head to Ole Miss to face Chris Beard’s Rebel Black Bear Landsharks. A week later, they’ll host Tennessee on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Following a Saturday game vs. Texas in Austin, Vanderbilt comes to town on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

After going to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama on Saturday, Feb. 22, the Cats will head to Oklahoma on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The final midweek game of the season will take place on Tuesday, March 4, vs. LSU. That’s Senior Night, as Kentucky closes the regular season at Missouri on Saturday, March 8
