Kentucky opens as a big favorite vs. Eastern Kentucky
Thanks to a Ray Davis touchdown with six seconds left, Kentucky covered the 25-point spread vs. Ball State in the season opener. The Cats are an even bigger favorite in Week 2 vs. Eastern Kentucky. Kentucky opened as a 31-point favorite vs. the Colonels. The line has already moved to -31.5. The total is 56 points.
EKU lost to Cincinnati 66-13 last weekend, well beyond the 21.5-point spread. The Colonels trailed the Bearcats 42-7 at halftime and gave up 667 yards of total offense. Kentucky should win easily. Covering 31.5 points feels achievable, although Mark Stoops might take his foot off the gas in the fourth quarter out of respect for his friend Walt Wells, EKU’s head coach.
