Kentucky fights to 45-40 halftime lead over Vanderbilt on Senior Day
You didn’t think it’d come that easily, did you? It is Vanderbilt on Senior Day, after all.
Down by as many as six in the first half, Kentucky drilled back-to-back-to-back-to-back threes in the final 1:39 to take a 45-40 lead at the break.
Rob Dillingham hit a couple of those en route to 12 points on 4-9 shooting, followed by Antonio Reeves with 11 on 5-10 FG and DJ Wagner with eight on 3-4 FG. As a team, the Wildcats are shooting 45.9% from the field, 37.5% from three and 83.3% at the line.

As for the Commodores, the two stars are doing star things, Ezra Manjon going for a team-high 12 points and six assists while Tyrin Lawrence has added 11 points himself to round out double-digit scorers. They’re shooting 53.1% overall, 37.5% from deep and 60.0% at the charity stripe.
Kentucky is winning the rebounding battle 24-13 with 14 second-chance points compared to just eight for Vanderbilt. On the flip side, the Dores have managed a 26-18 lead in points in the paint with an 11-5 advantage in fast-break points.
