By the Numbers: Kentucky's 72-67 win over Florida
Kentucky notched its 16th win of the season tonight, beating Florida 72-67. The Cats are now 7-3 in SEC play and have won six straight conference games. While we roll out our postgame coverage, check out the stats below. Here are a few that stand out to me…
4: Points from Oscar Tshiebwe. John Calipari couldn’t believe that Oscar scored only four points tonight when told after the game, but it’s true. Oscar fouled out with four points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 turnovers. It just wasn’t his night, but the fact that Kentucky can grind out an important win without him is good.
4: Points from Antonio Reeves. Reeves struggled tonight, going 2-5 from the floor in 19 minutes. “Where is Reeves?” was the question BBN was asking throughout the second half. After the game, John Calipari noted how many times Reeves got beat on back door cuts as the reason he didn’t play much in the second half. Again, the fact that Kentucky was able to win without him is big.
17 & 10: Points and rebounds from Jacob Toppin. Big night from him and great to see him playing with confidence.

3: Three-pointers by CJ Fredrick. After going 5-26 from the outside in the last five games, Fredrick was 3-6 from three-point land tonight. He finished with 12 points.
7: Points from Cason Wallace in the final 2:50 of the game. Florida wouldn’t go away, but Wallace stepped up to make sure the Cats got the W. Daimion Collins‘ two free throws with 0:51 left were similarly clutch. Collins only played five minutes but made them count, finishing with 3 points, all free throws, a rebound, and a steal.
14: Fastbreak points by Kentucky. Florida had zero. It was good to see the Cats get back to burning teams in transition.
