The stakes are high this week in Indianapolis as hundreds of prospects descend upon Indianapolis for the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. KSR will be spending a couple of days with six Kentucky Wildcats as they undergo a life-altering job interview.

Schedule of former Kentucky Wildcats at the Combine

The NFL Network will broadcast all of the workouts on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium daily at 3 pm EST, starting with defensive linemen and linebackers this afternoon. All of the following six players are expected to perform in front of NFL front office personnel.

LB Trevin Wallace, Thursday
CB Andru Phillips, Friday
QB Devin Leary, Saturday
RB Ray Davis, Saturday
WR Tayvion Robinson, Saturday
OT Jeremy Flax, Sunday (1 pm)

The Kentucky Freak

Bruce Feldman is a coaching search connaisseur and he curates the Freaks List. Each summer, The Athletic writer shares a list of 100+ freak college football athletes. Ahead of the NFL Combine, he shared which freaks he believes will stand out and Trevin Wallace made the cut at No. 14 overall.

“I expect the former high school track star’s stock to continue to rise after a good showing at the Senior Bowl,” writes Feldman. “The 242-pound linebacker, who once long jumped 23-4 1/4 inches to break a school record that stood for 44 years and also won the state weightlifting title with a 335-pound power clean, hit 22 MPH on the GPS at Kentucky and also vertical jumped 38.5 inches.”

Potential Big Climbers

Andru Phillips — The Kentucky cornerback had an outstanding week at the Senior Bowl in Mobile. His physical style of play has made him one of the top slot cornerbacks/nickelbacks in the NFL Draft. Exceptional testing numbers this week could help him climb all the way up to day two in the NFL Draft.

Trevin Wallace — What Wallace lacks in technical skills as a linebacker, he makes up for with exceptional athleticism. Jamin Davis had less experience playing the position when the South Georgia inside linebacker climbed all the way into the first round. Another South Georgia linebacker could see a similar rise in his stock with a big week in Indy.

Ray Davis — The Kentucky running back is in a peculiar position because of the position he plays. Running backs are not valued the way they once were, but Davis differentiated himself last fall as a pass-catcher. He caught more touchdown passes (6) than any other Kentucky Wildcat. An explosive runner in space, if the numbers match what scouts see on tape, he could become an early pick on day three of the draft.
