Kentucky Football Coaches are Back on the Road Recruiting
Over the last six weeks dozens and dozens of talented high school football prospects have traveled to Lexington to check out the Kentucky football facilities and watch spring practice. Now the Kentucky football coaches are returning the favor.
Today Mark Stoops sent his assistants back on the road to mark the beginning of a six-week evaluation period. From now through May 31 FBS coaches can travel to schools to meet with coaches and prospective players in-person.
During this time you’ll see scholarship offers extended to underclassmen. It’s also the ideal time for high school programs to conduct spring practice. As Zack Geoghegan noted on KSBoard, Lexington Christian Academy spring practice will be the home away from home for many traditional powerhouses as they recruit quarterback Cutter Boley. Kentucky offensive coordinator Liam Coen will surely be among the visitors on LCA’s guest list.
Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow is eager to get face-to-face with players that could be the building blocks of the future for the Wildcats.

In addition to this evaluation period, the month of June serves as an additional time for Kentucky coaches to see football recruits perform in-person. Instead of traveling to see them, top players will travel to Lexington to compete at camp. The Cats are hosting numerous one-day camps, but the biggest of the bunch will be the Sunday Showcase Camp on June 4.
