Kentucky Football just took a cool step forward with Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). The 15 Club, one of Kentucky Football’s collectives, is launching “500 Strong,” a VIP membership program featuring unique and exclusive experiences. The first of those is pretty impressive.

On May 10, members of 500 Strong will be treated to a private concert by Grammy Award-winning artist John Legend at Central Bank Center. Legend is the uncle of Anthony Brown-Stephens, a sophomore wide receiver on the Kentucky Football team. Tickets to “An Evening With John Legend” will only be available to 500 Strong members and space is limited, with reservations closing on April 30.

“We are excited to launch the 500 Strong Membership Program within The Kentucky 15 Club,” said Ryan Miller CEO of The Kentucky 15 Club in a press release. “This initiative represents a unique opportunity for fans to engage with the University of Kentucky Football Program in a meaningful way while enjoying unforgettable experiences. ‘An Evening with John Legend,’ presented by Lexus of Lexington, is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting journey for our members.”

On this morning’s Kentucky Sports Radio, Matt Jones said 500 Strong is expected to raise $4.5 million per year and already has over 200 members. The private John Legend concert is the first of many unique experiences planned for 500 Strong members, who will also be privy to “insider insights.”

How did this plan come about? I have a feeling Vince Marrow, Kentucky’s top recruiter, made his pitch to Legend earlier this month at Legend’s mother’s 70th birthday party.
