Mathews shared his decision date a day after Vince Marrow paid a visit to Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati. That is probably good news for Kentucky, right? Well, not exactly.
Prior to his decision Mathews has official visits scheduled June 3-5 at Pitt and June 24 to Cincinnati. If he plans on officially visiting Kentucky, he has not shared it publicly, although the June 12 Sunday Showcase Camp would fit nicely into his schedule. If the talented defensive back does not take an official visit to Lexington, it’ll be tough sledding for the Cats to land a commitment. According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Kentucky has a 10.1% chance to land Mathews, third behind Cincinnati at 32.6%.
