We are 50 days away from Kentucky football

Talking season is the unofficial start of every college football season. On Monday in Atlanta, the SEC will host a kickoff party over four days at the College Football Hall of Fame as we all get ready for kickoff on Labor Day weekend.
We are just seven short weeks away from the first tailgate of the season in the Kroger Field parking lots. Football time in the Bluegrass is almost here.
We are now 50 days away from kickoff as Mark Stoops is back for his 13th season as the leader of the Kentucky football program. The Cats are now wrapping up a very unique offseason that included some unexpected coaching changes (one at a very strange time), a true roster overhaul via two-way transfer movement, and coordinator continuity for the first time since the 2019 season. Expectations are not very high for the Cats as this is seen very much as a prove-it campaign.
Fans will be treated with a very interesting home slate that will include games versus Ole Miss, Texas with Arch Manning, Tennessee, and Florida. The Cats have lost seven consecutive SEC home games and will likely be a underdog in each of the home games this season.

Stoops and his program will be looking to prove that the 2024 campaign was truly a one-year blip. To do that, UK likely needs to get back to a bowl game. Multiple upsets will be required for that to happen.
Kentucky is a true underdog again in 2025. We will find out shortly if this program has improved after a pivotal offseason in Lexington.
