An offensive guard with an Ohio State offer and a sophomore four-star wide receiver are just the latest recruits to pick up scholarships from the Kentucky Wildcats.

Austin Siereveld and Tyseer Denmark both received offers from UK over the last 24 hours, they announced over Twitter. Let’s talk about them.

Austin Siereveld – class of 2023

Siereveld is a still-rising class of 2023 offensive guard who plays for Lakota East High School in Ohio. He has picked up offers from Ohio State, Michigan State, and Cincinnati–all top 10 teams in the country right now–over the last week. Siereveld clocks in at 6-foot-5, 315-pounds.

If the name Lakota sounds familiar, that would be because Kentucky has created a steady pipeline out of the Lakota West High School. UK associate head coach Vince Marrow has secured commitments from several Lakota West alums; former UK players George Asafo-Adjei, Mikel Horton, Kyle Meadows, and Kayaune Ross, to name a few. Future ‘Cat, four-star defensive back Alex Afari, also plays his high school ball at Lakota West.

The Lakota East program hasn’t provided as much talent though. Only Jarrett LaRubbio, who later transferred to Miami (OH) after one season, came to Lexington from Lakota East.

Siereveld told KSR shortly after announcing his Kentucky offer that he wasn’t expecting it to come this soon.

“When I camped down there (over the summer) they told me that they are probably going to offer me after the season once they watched my film,” Siereveld said about Kentucky. “But I really wasn’t expecting it today though.”

Siereveld doesn’t have any current plans to visit Lexington as of right now, but hopes to make a trip down in the future.

Tyseer Denmark – class of 2024

As for Denmark, the class of 2024 pass-catcher has already earned a four-star rating by the folks over at Rivals. When you watch his film and learn which schools are reaching out, it’s easy to see why.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder out of Philadelphia, PA, has also hauled in offers from the likes of South Carolina, Tennessee, Penn State, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and several other Power 5 programs not even halfway through his career at Roman Catholic. Over the summer, Denmark took unofficial visits to West Virginia, Penn State, Rutgers, and Pittsburgh.

Through nine games as a sophomore, Denmark leads Roman Catholic (3-6) in receiving with 32 catches for 517 yards and five touchdowns. Additionally, he’s run the ball 80 times for 457 more yards and a team-high 12 touchdowns. He even doubles as a defensive back when needed.

Kentucky threw its hat into the ring for Denmark on Monday with an offer.
