At least for one more week, Kentucky football is a nationally-ranked program.

On Sunday afternoon, the AFCA Coaches Poll unveiled its Week 10 Top 25 national rankings, which saw plenty of movement in the back half of the poll. Despite getting smacked by the Tennessee Volunteers 44-6 on Saturday night in Knoxville, Kentucky did not drop out of the Top 25, but did fall seven spots from No. 17 to No. 24.

Tennessee held firm at No. 3.

The top eight remained unchanged from Week 9. Kentucky is one of six SEC schools that made the Top 25. Georgia continues to hold down the top spot with Tennessee at No. 3, Alabama at No. 6, Ole Miss at No. 10, and LSU at No. 17. Louisville, Arkansas, South Carolina, and Mississippi State are among other teams receiving votes.

It was a downright ugly performance from the Wildcats in Neyland Stadium on Saturday night, which led to the steep drop in the rankings. The offense sputtered all night long and the defense broke again and again against a high-powered Volunteers attack. Don’t be surprised if the AP Poll, which comes out later on Sunday and currently has Kentucky ranked No. 19, leaves the ‘Cats out of the Top 25 entirely this week.
