Seven Cloud
Former Georgia commit Seven Cloud

If you shared this article with someone outside of the college football world, they might be confused by the headline. “What’s a JUCO DL Seven Cloud?Seven Cloud is the name of an enormous defensive lineman who is considering a move to the University of Kentucky.

Cloud is a 6-foot-4, 300-pound defensive tackle from Atlanta who spent the last two years at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. In ten games this fall, Cloud tallied 48 tackles, 9.5 TFLs, and 5.5 sacks. He also swatted down three passes, forced two fumbles, and recovered one.

Cloud is an atypical junior college prospect, which is why his list of suitors is more impressive than most JUCO targets. In addition to Kentucky, Tennessee, Auburn, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Boise State, Florida, Missouri, WKU, and Georgia are in the mix for his services.

He was a four-star talent when he committed to Georgia in January, 2021. The following summer, KSR watched him workout at a Kentucky football camp. Ultimately, it appears he couldn’t get on track to join Kirby Smart’s team with the rest of the class of 2023. After a couple years in the JUCO ranks, he’s put in the work and looks poised to contribute on interior defensive lines in the SEC this fall. We’ll be keeping a close eye on Cloud as Kentucky seeks out reinforcements following Keeshawn Silver‘s departure.

This fall the gamewrecker had 96 tackles, 7 TFL, 5.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles. Those are some eye-opening numbers.
