WR Cameron Miller Commits to Kentucky on Signing Day
Spatula SZN is in full effect at Kentucky’s Joe Craft Football Training Facility. The Wildcats made a big December move by flipping Cameron Miller from Wisconsin. Miller was committed to the Badgers until Tuesday, setting the stage for the Cats to receive his commitment on signing day.
A 5-10 athlete from New Jersey, Miller is a two-way star for Winslow Township. Some schools recruited him to play cornerback. Kentucky went all-in on Miller early in the process to play slot receiver.
Kentucky wide receivers coach Daikiel Shorts made some early headway in his recruitment — Miller took two unofficial visits to Lexington — but the Cats couldn’t gain as much traction as Phil Longo. The Wisconsin offensive coordinator’s high-powered offense at North Carolina was too attractive for Miller to turn down, even though there wasn’t really a proof of concept with the Badgers. Luke Fickell fired Longo after two seasons in Madison.
Miller has remained committed to Wisconsin since mid-May. The New Jersey native officially visited nearby Rutgers, but remained steadfast throughout. The Kentucky coaching staff remained vigilant until it was closing time. Kentucky made a big move to get a player who could immediately fill a significant void at the slot receiver position, even though news broke on Tuesday of Shorts’ move from Lexington to Lincoln, Nebraska.

Miller is a high-three-star talent, ranked as the No. 454 overall player and No. 73 wide receiver, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. In his 2023 junior campaign, he caught 57 receptions for 1,334 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also had 33 tackles, two tackles for loss, and two interceptions.
The Kentucky 2025 recruiting class now has five wide receivers in the fold. Two or three of those guys can also play the slot. The Cats are juicing the odds to ensure that they can find at least one future starter at the position.
