Kentucky is picking up its pursuit of a rising star among the 2024 recruiting ranks. Sunday evening TJ Lindsey shared a new scholarship offer from the Wildcats.
TJ Lindsey has become a popular prospect in the 2024 class. Since the start of the year Texas A&M, Arkansas, Notre Dame, TCU, LSU and Texas have amplified their interest in the big defensive lineman from Bryant, Arkansas.
Lindsey is a 6-foot-5, 250-pound defensive lineman ranked as the No. 34 player at his position in the 2024 class according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s a Top 500 prospect and the No. 4 player from the state of Arkansas.
Arkansas is not typically a place you’ll see Kentucky recruit. It’s not to say there aren’t talented football players in the region. There is just so much competition. Not only is Kentucky up against the Razorbacks and the SEC West, but schools in nearby Texas also carry significant recruiting chops in the area.

Despite these obstacles, Kentucky was able to convince TJ Lindsey to travel to Lexington for an unofficial visit last month. He shared some of his experience from the Junior Day with On3’s Billy Embody just before the Wildcats issued a scholarship offer.
“It was good. It was a good visit, it was my first time up there,” Lindsey said. “Little invite only Junior Day. They had a lot to offer, especially defensively I know for me. Went to the basketball game and it was a cool experience. They said they want to get me back down there in the spring and get more 1-on-1 time. I think the offer’s coming soon because I’ve been talking with them for a little bit.”
He also made a pitstop in Knoxville on the way home from Lexington. It’s clear that TJ Lindsey is going to be highly-coveted defensive line prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. Kentucky is in the mix early. We’ll keep a close eye out to see how they can stand out in the crowd.
