Kentucky is looking for the best and brightest from the high school ranks to fortify the Big Blue Wall. During the last week of spring practice unofficial visits, one pair from Ohio received extra attention from Vince Marrow and the Wildcats’ coaching staff.

On Thursday Kentucky extended scholarship offers to Mercer Luniewski and Charlton Luniewski, twin brothers in the 2024 recruiting class. The offensive linemen attend Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy in southwest Ohio.

Mercer is the bigger prospect of the two players because he’s a little bit bigger. The 6-foot-7, 300-pound offensive tackle is ranked as a three-star prospect by 247 Sports. He already holds offers from Wisconsin, Pitt, Duke, and Minnesota, among others.

The package deal is a first for Charlton, a 6-foot-6, 280-pounder who probably fits best as an offensive guard at the next level. He’s picked up offers from multiple MAC schools, but this one from Kentucky is his first Power Five scholarship offer.

This is not the first time Kentucky has recruited twins to Lexington. The Wildcats inked four-star Nashville brothers Destin and Keaten Wade in the 2022 recruiting class. This year Kentucky tried to pull Deontae and Devontae Armstrong, twin offensive linemen from Lakewood, OH, but Ohio State put on the full-court press for the Top 300 talents.

How do the Luniewski brothers feel about their new scholarship offers from Kentucky? Subscribe to KSR+ where this weekend Jacob Polacheck will share more from his conversation with the talented twins. It only costs $1 to give KSR+ a try, but hurry! This offer ends today.

Other Kentucky Offensive Line Recruits

The Luniewskis are the latest in a line of talented offensive tackles to visit Kentucky during spring practice. Enjoy a brief summary, one that’s incomparable to the thorough big board compiled by Adam Luckett this week on KSR+.

Jac’Qawn McRoy: The highest-ranked prospect of the bunch described Kentucky as his “day one” school. Battling with SEC foes, the Wildcats should be able to get an official visit from McRoy before he makes his final decion.

Fred Johnson Jr.: It’s a familiar pattern for the Ohio offensive tackle. Kentucky was one of his first offers, while Penn State and Tennessee duke it out for his services.

Kai Greer: The mauler from ACC country already has an official visit to Penn State scheduled, thanks to a family connection to James Franklin’s program.

John Wayne Oliver: No relation to the Duke, but the big man from Nashville fits what Kentucky is looking for in an outside zone offensive tackle. The Cats appear to have some work to do to play catch-up in his recruitment.
