Kentucky football wrapped up a monstrous recruiting weekend on Sunday with class of 2024 official visitors leaving campus and heading back home. However, the recruiting work was not done with another Sunday feature camp hosted at Kroger Field. Only this one didn’t include skill talent players.

UK hosted an offensive line and defensive line mega camp on Sunday afternoon that featured hundreds of 2024 and 2025 linemen. KSR was on site for the event and gathered some intel. Some live updates were posted over on our message board at KSR+. Now we get to dig a little deeper into some takeaways. Recruiting never stops.

Tucker Kattus looks the part

Josh Kattus figures to have a big role for the Kentucky offense in 2023. The sophomore tight end was a surprise contributor as a true freshman last season. However, there was another Kattus that had the attention of the Kentucky coaching staff on Sunday.

Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier offensive lineman Tucker Kattus is a rising junior prospect in the class of 2025. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect spent his time at tackle in the camp on Sunday and passed the eye test.

Kattus has great length, flashed some solid movement skills, and showed some nastiness when it came to finishing blocks. Hand placement needs some refinement, but there is a lot to like early about this 2025 prospect who is entering his junior season of high school.

The prospect told On3’s Chad Simmons that Kentucky was sticking out early in his recruitment. Expect to see the younger Kattus around the program more as his older brother continues to play a critical role on the field.

Chase Couch camps again

Lexington (Ky.) Christian Academy EDGE Chase Couch is entering his senior season. The class of 2024 prospect has received recent Ivy League offers from Cornell and Penn. Since last summer, Couch has added some good weight and strength. That was shown in some wins in one-on-one reps.

Couch likely won’t be a scholarship addition for Kentucky in the 2024 cycle, but would be a nice walk-on addition. Tim Couch was on the sidelines at Kroger Field watching his son go through the workout and was spotted walking into the stadium with Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops. LCA will be a team to watch this season with Cutter Boley at quarterback and Couch on the defensive line.

Stone Saunders makes a surprise visit

Speaking of Cutter Boley, Kentucky has its quarterback in the 2024 cycle. But important work is being done now to find the 2025 quarterback. A notable prospect made a pitstop in Lexington on Sunday.

Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt quarterback Stone Saunders visited Kentucky on Saturday. The Wildcats are working on strengthening this relationship with offensive coordinator Liam Coen running point for the Wildcats.

The No. 313 ranked prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking just finished a visit to Nebraska before stopping in Lexington. Kentucky is firmly in the hunt for the four-star quarterback that has also been to Texas A&M multiple times during the recruiting process.

Saunders is currently one of Kentucky’s top QB options in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Getting the prospect on campus for a June visit is an important step as the Wildcats assess their options at the position on the recruiting trail.
