Kentucky Football Recruiting Class Ranking Dips Following Rivals Update

The 2023 Kentucky football recruiting class took a slight dip in the On3 Consensus rankings after Rivals updated its respective rankings. The Wildcats’ class was once ranked as high as No. 15 in the country. That has dipped all the way down to No. 38 overall.
Recruiting rankings remain fluid until even after kids step foot on campus. That’s even more noteworthy in the team ranking department. As teams add more players to their class, there’s more data to drive up that number. This is a reason why the Wildcats are now almost out of the top 40. Boyle County three-star DL Tommy Ziesmer is UK’s only addition to the 2023 class over the last two months.

Set that caveat aside, and the rankers at Rivals still aren’t too high on Kentucky’s top recruits. The Wildcats’ top-ranked commitment in the On3 Consensus, Shamar Porter, is a four-star WR in every service except Rivals. As you’ll notice in the rest of the Rivals250, most of Kentucky’s targets fell in the recent update.

Kentucky could be adding to its 2023 recruiting class in the near future. Mark Stoops’ coaching staff will welcome at least ten official visitors to campus this weekend. A number of commitments will be on hand to persuade some targets to roll the dice and join the BBN.
